EVERYTHING WE KNOW

We learned from books and then enriched by "intuition".

 About The Bookshelf

The Bookshelf is a place where visitors can come and learn about some really great books!

There is really nothing like a printed book to read, especially before going to sleep. There is some amazing connection between the words on a page and the mind that seems to fall into them and become a art of the story, when it is interesting enough that is - haha.

Here the visitor will also find recommended reading across many genre, and of course the most important, book reviews of books that have actually been read!

Reading with Coffee

Printed books although have taken a pounding since the late 90's have managed to survive, and by the time of writing this, 2019 are making a come-back. Many people share their experiences with me with regard to screen-reading Vs printed books. I think the two types of media for books and pros and cons on both sides.

Printed books are heavy to cart around, usually you can only carry a few books at a time. You need a night-light to read at night, but what a soft glow a lamp provides! Personally, I find words on paper in books a far more relaxing and enjoyable experience than eBook reading.

eBooks are light and you can fit thousands of books on a USB stick or an eReader, great!  But screen reading doesn't seem to be as interesting as printed words on paper for some reason and in many cases does not provide the same reading experience.

The answer to this dilemma - each format has it's own merits and I actually use both formats depending n my situation at the time.
