
Homemade Fabric Softener
Here’s the biggest secret: you do not have to buy expensive conditioner for this DIY fabric softener. You can buy the super inexpensive kind that is about $2 for a large bottle. I like to make smaller batches so that I can switch up the fragrance depending on my mood or the season:)
You Will Need

3 cups of hot water

1.5 cups of white vinegar

1 cup of conditioner in whatever fragrance you like
(very inexpensive bottles of conditioners work great!)

Container for storage

Whisk
Directions

Put 3 cups of hot water into a container

Add 1 cup of conditioner

Using a whisk, stir the water and conditioner until combined

Add in 1 cup of white vinegar

Add about 2 tablespoons to an average size load of laundry (more or less depending on the size of the load). Or, add it to a Downey ball FOUND HERE
*Note: this can be used in an HE washer! Simply add this homemade fabric softener to your washing machine like you normally would. Some machines have a drawer or compartment for fabric softener to be used.
